11/2014 UPDATE: I'm a big fan of Tri-Mountain polos and order them regularly each year. But sometimes it's a guessing game with a new style. I find their polos tend to come big. I usually order a size down! Not in this style. This style runs small. I'm on the larger side of 2X and ordered multiple colors in 2X within the last year and a half. Here's what I found: |
This runs a bit small in that there is 0 stretch in this knit shirt. ZERO. I was looking for something with at least a tiny bit of stretch (like normal polos), which is my reason for returning them. I imagine the quality and design is just fine if you don't have a problem with the fabric. |
This shirt is so long that I am actually giving it away. I am short - 5'1", but this is ridiculous. I did wear it once, was very uncomfortable with the length, and will not wear it again. I thought about hemming it, but don't feel like taking the time. I am disappointed. I can't even wear it with leggings since it is so long - more like a short dress, but not the right style for leggings. At least not for someone my height. If someone were tall, this may be a great length. The shoulders and hips were more in line with the size. |
Fit is long, just the way I like it, and finally a 3/4 sleeve shirt where the arms rant too tight or too loose. This product is wonderfully stain resistant as well. I get pen marks all over me and they come right out. As far as quality I've washed it at least 30 times since I got it and it still looks like new. |
The fabric is somewhat heavier, as is true of this type fabric. The fit of the large works fine, as I am sometimes a medium in some clothing, but prefer a looser fit. The one agony was the time to remove the neck label, stitch by stitch, as I have to do on all garments, about which I complain to other manufacturers, as well. |
I have bought three Tri Mountain 3/4 sleeve golf shirts. The blue one and the white one were a perfect size medium and were exactly the same. However, I have now ordered two pink ones because the first one I ordered in size medium was so large I had to give it to a friend, so I reordered another pink one when I ordered the white one, both in size medium. The white one fit, just like the blue one did, but again the pink one was quite large. They are either miss labeling the size on the pink ones, or not making them correctly. I would still like a pink size medium, but I've given up on that brand. |
I own quite a few Tri Mountain tops and the fit and color are always as shown. Love that they show their size chart in each item view and the measurements are accurate. I will continue to by from the vendor because they make it easy to get the right fit. |
Great shirt. The fabric and fit are exactly what I was looking for. In fact after the first purchase, I ordered 3 more in different colors. The quality of the material is outstanding and has washed without any problems. The shirt is nice enough for any occasion and works very well for golf. It is long enough to tuck into any shorts or pants. I wear a medium and this was true to size with no shrinkage. |
Love my new golf shirts! |
A little large across shoulders, as a result arms tend to almost reach to elbows. |
