I bought this as a replacement for my go-to wallet of the same name. This is a newer version I don't like for these reasons:
    1) coin purse is divided and deep - hard to get coins out of quickly. I tried to keep only pennies in the front one - otherwise not sure for the divided coin purse.
    2) HATE THIS PART: Undivided DEEP place for bills! Maybe this makes it harder for thieves, but it is harder for me, too! I have to take all of the bills out every time I buy something! Very non-user friendly!
    3) Metal part of coinpurse compartment is squared off and sharp. Old version was rounded.
Positives: Driver's license compartment is easier to remove and replace in wallet. No plastic photo billfold (never used it or it fell out before). More compartments for credit cards, gift cards, etc.
The wallet looks the same as the older version in the picture and has the same name.

I bought this as a birthday gift for a friend. There are a lot of good things about it but unfortunately an overwhelming bad thing. The wallet is a very good design with lots of credit card, etc. slots. The cards go into the slots easily which is a big plus. One part of the wallet was stitched in crooked. Its not terrible but is noticeable. Now, the real big problem . The wallet has a TERRIBLE odor. I have worked on this problem for several weeks. I have aired it out. I've wiped it with dryer sheets. I've sprayed it with Orange Pledge. I've used Febreze on it. Nothing has worked. I decided it wasn't worth sendng the wallet back but I did not give it to my friend so the whole thing was a waste. So sorry to have to report this.

I would NEVER buy this again. If you fill about half of the credit card slots, you cannot close the wallet! Therefore, the additional card insert is rather useless. Also, it lasted one year and then the metal clasp to the coin compartment separated from the leather and the money all fell out to the bottom of my purse. I had to use clear packing tape to hold it on until I could order a new wallet. You can bet it was NOT like this one! I once trusted Buxton but not now!

Buxton used to be a quality product. After careful comparison shopping I went with a known brand. I do not over stuff a wallet with coins and papers, and it was carried in a handbag. After 6 months, both of the sides of the coin section fell apart off the metal frame. The front closure snap fell out. The wallet remained stiff and hard, I don't think it would have ever broken in and softened up like the old Buxtons that lasted for YEARS. Do not purchase it if you actually want a wallet that is durable.

This BUXTON HEIRESS DOUBLE CARDEX WALLET is a good quality wallet that affords excellent value for the price (about $23 on Amazon). However, when loaded with cards, it's so bulky and thick, it doesn't fit easily into my purse, and it is hard to handle when I need to remove a card (despite my large hands).

Although I carry only three credit/debit cards, I have a lot of shoppers' rewards cards (e.g., Safeway, Staples) that get regular use. Sadly, the slots don't work well for the rewards cards. The cards inserted into the two lower slots overlap (so you can't see what the card underneath is). Also, the slots are tight, so they hold only one card, and the cards are difficult to remove.

In fact, the extra "page" just adds extra bulk. In addition, the bulk from the cards makes it hard to insert paper money into the long pocket. The coin purse is capacious, and it has a clasp closure, which is good--coin purses with zipper closures tend to "leak" change, and the zippers always break long before the rest of the wallet needs replacing.

If you have a lot of cards to carry, you might want to consider a trifold wallet (e.g.,  Access Denied Womens Trifold Wallet Slim Line ). I like this one a lot, because the slots will accept more than one card (so I can group my rewards cards), and the cards are fairly easily removed from the slots. With this wallet, I place my extra cards in a windowed card holder (e.g.,  20 Card Plastic Wallet Insert  (cut in half to reduce bulk and hold only 10 cards)), and put it into the paper money pocket.

Because it's a good quality wallet, but too bulky when loaded with cards, I rate this Buxton Heiress Wallet at 3 stars ("It's okay" on the official Amazon scale).

Thankfully, this wallet is a bit larger than its advertised size. It is not for those of you who want a skinny little wallet. But for the rest of us, it has many card slots and a coin section that you can actually get your fingers into. It also has 2 slots for bills. Useful. Because of the extra flap for the additional charge cards, it is a bit thick. I wore out 2 of the old style (minus the extra interior flap) which appears to have been discontinued. I liked the old style a bit more. Nonetheless, this is basically what I needed. A reasonably priced, leather wallet that has an attached coin purse that opens wide enough for a live human to use. It was a good purchase at a reasonable price.

I purchased this as a replacement for an almost identical Buxton wallet I purchased several years ago at Sears. The interior lining of the change purse deteriorated and change was falling out. I looked at other wallets but they did not have all of the card slots or pockets that I need. This wallet was very stiff. I bent it back and forth several Xs. I even stepped on it. I could not snap it shut. I ended up putting it under a stack of very heavy books for several hours which worked. So, I gave it one less star for this reason. It is otherwise a perfect wallet for my needs.

This is a great leather purse with plenty of room in it for all your cards paper money and small change. Also it is just the right size to fit into a small handbag.

A very good, well made purse and wallet. I already have one which I've had for about 10 years and it's still going strong. I am glad to say that this one is just as well made.

So disappointed, I have loved Buxton wallets for years but this one is no good. It is made too small. I can't fit any credit cards, drivers license, etc. in it because the "slots" are so small, in width and depth. You have to force them in and then you can't get them out! I will have to return. I sat it next to my old wallet and the size difference is very noticeable. What a waste of beautiful leather.

Size is just right with lots of pockets for credit cards. The leather is a bit hard but.i Guess this will make it more durable.

Best wallet I've ever owned. My first one lasted five years. I've since bought two more for my mother and myself. Plenty of room for all of my store cards and credit cards.

This is very bulky, the change part is hard to open and close. I've only been using it for a couple of weeks, I'm hoping I "break it in". The wallet itself is ok, for the price. But I wouldn't purchase it again.

it is a christmas present but I know it will be loved

I like that it is 90% leather. Has compartments for seveal cards and two area for bills.

    Good bang for my buck

    Just perfect for me

Great size, a little stiff, hoping it will soften up over time

    lots of card spaces
