Box is taped shut and looks used. Frames are not the color ordered- they are purple. They do not wear well at all. They slide down on your face and are tilted. I’m not sure this is an actual ray ban product.
Even after my husband sat on an old pair of my Wayfarers, they did not break...bent a little, but not broken. Lifelong wearer of these.
Not real Ray-Bans. Was instantly skeptical because they didn't feel heavy enough, and upon further investigation, they are indeed fakes. There are marks of poor construction throughout, but it's very clear on the hinges, which are rough and unpolished. The Ray-Ban logo on the side does not sit flush against the arm, and in fact appears to spell out Ray-Bam. They don't open and close smoothly like real Ray-Bans. Most damningly though, the box that they came in is clearly for a different pair of sunglasses. Seller tried to cover up the serial number with another sticker, which I removed, and found that it did not match. Highly doubt anyone would ever notice that these are fakes, but compared to a legit pair of Ray-Bans, the quality is just not there.
I was initially thrilled to get these Ray bans for the low price. But I can now see why it was such a low price. At first, I didn't see anything wrong with them...but then I started noticing that the left frame was leaving a mark on my face from how tight the glasses were. It just so happened that I was at the eye doctor for some eyeglasses when I asked if they could adjust my Ray bans. Within seconds of looking at the Ray bans, I was asked where I purchased them. I was told that they might not be fake, but they were most definitely defective. They compared the Ray bans to the ones they had in stock and you could tell the difference. The Ray bans I bought from Amazon were bent in the left frame AND the frame arms were significantly slanted when compared to the original authentic Ray bans. I was so disappointed as I really thought I got these for a steal. I guess I will have to spend the extra cash and opt for the store bought Ray bans. Needless to say, I am returning the Ray bans I bought from Amazon.
Just after leaving my last pair of Wayfarers in a cab to the airport in NYC I made a call to the bureau of I-left-stuff-in-my-taxi-in-NYC and quickly came to realize I'd never see them again, so I ordered a replacement pair the next day. I prefer the larger "original" shape with the tortoiseshell frames and green lenses and they seem hard to find in stores sometimes - retailers are always pushing whatever is new and trendy - so I've ordered my last couple of pairs from Amazon. The pair I lost had lasted three years and were going strong, with a few love marks here and there, so I ordered the exact same model knowing the quality would be high, and it was - they are sturdy, but not heavy. Since they eliminated the spring-loaded hinges the glasses seem stronger. Of course the style is fantastic, Wayfarers look great no matter where you are or what you're doing. If I was going to pick on the glasses, I'd say I prefer the old orange-and-brown-ish tortoiseshell - these are more yellow-and-brown-ish. If I was going to pick on the listing, I'd point out that these are NOT made in the US, as the listing states - they're made in Italy, of course.
I've received two other fakes from other third party sellers on Amazon for the Ray-Ban 2140 58mm, but I can confirm that these are the real deal. These are thick and heavy, as I expect them to be, unlike the fakes I have received. The hinges do not creak and allow for the arms to close very smoothly. The polarized lenses are made of dense, heavy glass (not polycarbonate) and are extremely clear. These are the qualities you should look for in a genuine, polarized 2140 58mm. Other models that are either polarized or not polarized do not use glass lenses, so they won't feel as heavy.
For years, I have avoid purchasing a nice pair of sunglasses (or really any pair over $15), because I am notorious for losing or damaging them. I decided to spring for these on Amazon's Prime Day in 2015 for one of their sales. It arrived the same day I ordered them, which was an unexpected but nice touch. I've decided the best way to avoid losing these is to keep them in the car, always and only. They come in a nice Ray Ban case. After glancing through a handful of these reviews, it seems that fake sunglasses could be a concern, so I'm glad I ordered from Amazon LLC and Amazon direct, as their returns are nearly always handled to customer satisfaction.
These ray bans we're not authentic. I've been doing a lot of research on the wayfarer and could quite confidently spot a fake from a simple close up inspection, hence why I returned these back to the seller for a refund.
While away on holiday in June my old Ray Ban Wayfarers (literally) fell in half and to put it mildly I was devastated! They were twenty years old and ‘vintage’ made in the USA originals and I struggled to try and find new ones that were anywhere near the originals.
Ricevuti, sembra tutto originale, na nella descrizione diceva “lenti polarizzate” ma non lo sono... cè una bella differenza.
I thought I was buying new. sunglasses are second hand box is damaged and clearly been resealed. Ray ban sticker on lens hanging off finger print on lens glasses where dusty extremely unhappy as I thought I was buying new at that price
This was definitely a FAKE pair of Ray-ban wayfarers. I’ve had a pair before which I lost and having returned these ones I’ve just bought some from Sunglasses hut. This pair were too light, didn’t have the RB scratched in the left lens, wrong writing on the arm, Ray-ban logo outside of the arm was misshapen and scratched, arms were loose and the screw to tighten had no thread, no tag around the frames, no P after the Ray-ban logo on right lens to correspond to the Polarised sticker.
Bought these after having used a 'large size' pair of fold-able custom wayfarers. The standard size (which these are) are so much better than the larger ones in my opinion. The shape of the standard size is completely lost on the large size with the lenses looking too wide. I have quite a massive noggin and I can say that these fit comfortably, they do leave a slight mark around the top of my nose but I'm fine with it as there's no pain at all. You can't go wrong with the classic wayfarer style so from now on I'll stick to the standard ones rather than the large.
Definitely genuine, they even have the concealed laser etching. For me, these are the perfect glasses. The G-15 lenses give excellent colour rendition under all lighting conditions and the frames are comfortable. These are the smaller frames than the classic wayfarer.
Veio "faltando"um decalque na perninha esquerda do óculos.
Fake sunglasses sold as rayban original, please do not buy. You will regret it.
Nice glass. The best so far. I purchased 2016 and got it lost or nicked I don't know. It disappeared I cried...before gathering the courage to repurchase it back. Thank God I love it. This is the best Rayban I ever seen
My Godson was very pleased with the sun glasses they were just has advertised by the seller.
Exactly as expected. Wasn't sure about the size, but credit card test showed standard size would be ok, and the size 50 is great, no slipping.
Great service and genuine raybans. I had a question around the colour as I wanted tortoiseshell and the purchase said beige. The question (confirmation) that they were indeed tortoiseshell was answered within hours. Quick professional service, great product.
Excellent Raybans. I didn't like rayban written in white on the right lens even though it's only small But they are just want I expected in Size and quality.
What can you say. You can buy cheaper but these are excellent. Look superb, a classic. Fit great. Look classy. The case is great. Still got them. Would not swap them.
