Quartz movement with digital multifuntional display
Okay this faithful watch, which has been with me through flights (has that useful T2 feature so you can set your home timezone while you're traveling!), hot *soapy* showers, warmed chlorinated pools, and -20 windchill blizzards, and whose wristband discoloration I tolerated because I loved its ergonomics, died on me about a while back nearly 8 months after I bought it.
This review is for the Armitron Sports Women's 45/7034PBH, Rose Gold Tone. Got this for my wife. We are well into our seventies. All our lives we wore analog watches. Several years ago, we both started having trouble reading the time on the analog face. I was the first to switch to digital. I bought a Timex Ironman Shock. It's like wearing a kitchen appliance on your wrist, but it suits me fine. I can even track my golf strokes on it. My wife is a small woman. She wanted something more "dainty". I read some very favorable reviews about this watch, on Amazon. I noted many comments about the small/delicate/dainty size of the watch. My wife chose the rose/pink color, over the other color choices. It is perfect for her fair skin tone. When the watch arrived, my wife tried it on and was immediately delighted with the feel, size, and look of it. The face is large enough to display characters very clearly. The silicone/resin band fits well and feels very comfortable on her wrist. Setting the date, time, and other particulars was a challenge for me. I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer. But I got it done. My wife is very happy with her new watch. What makes her happy makes me happy.
It’s a nice, good sized, reasonably priced watch. I really like it. I’m a nurse and bought this watch for work, it shows me the date and military time, which is perfect. It’s also an excellent size for my small wrist. And the material is easy to clean. It’s water resistant so I don’t have to worry when I’m washing my hands a hundred times a day. I’ve had no issues with it thus far. The instructions come with the watch, are easy to read and follow. Yes it has a stopwatch, yes it lights up with a press of a button, yes you can turn off the hourly-chime and turn off the alarm feature. Yes, you can set it for two different times (for example: when traveling in different time zones). Last week I purchased a similar watch on Amazon, but that watch was very big and round (same features), this one is much much better. I love it. I’m going to order another one as a back up.
Love it, small and dainty, fits my tiny wrist, cute girls watch. I like that it shows the date and what day it is, I didnt like that it didnt come with a screen protector on top or bottom like most watches do, I usually leave it on until it falls off. Got some scratches on it from work after a day of having it ! :( but good watch other than that. Tried to take pics from all angles so you can see the actual size, good watch for the price.
I had a HORRIBLE time trying to set this up. It did not come with an instruction manual and I couldn't seem to find one on google either. To figure out how to get it out of military time I had to read through other questions on related amazon watches. To help you all out, you need to get a little A or P to show up on the left hand side of the time (for am or pm) and that means you are out of military and into standard time. I don't remember how I made those appear and I'm scared to mess with it and not get it back so just play with it I guess. Now that it's set it should be a fine watch.
*July 2016* So far this has been great. I previously bought an Armitron watch but it was quite bulky, the strap was difficult, etc. So I ordered this one, SO FAR, the face & plate stays clean (through my gardening), I haven't noticed grime buildup, the straps are easy to clean, its waterproof. I LOVE the 12/24H feature that I can switch between the two with the click of a button. I'm a nursing student and use 24H time @ school & at my clinical rotations, but at home I use 12H time, so it's been great to be able to just tick tock back and forth without having to look at directions each time. Backlight is great, stays on for about 2-3 seconds brightly then dims out over about 5 seconds total. No issues so far, water resistance has held up as well. the watch is smaller overall which is what I loved (I have maybe 6" wrist, if that), and the face is smaller, as well as the actual depth of the watch from face to backplate is smaller which was nice, the other I had was quite thick & difficult to mange in and out of pockets, etc.
Now you can see not only the time, but the day and date at a glance. If on your travels you can have two time zones at the touch of a button, a stop watch for the sporty ones too. Clearly seen for those with sight problems and waterproof for those who swim or do the washing up.
Great everyday watch though initially bought for holidays . Back light is great in the dark. Just difficult to set as struggled to get 24 hour clock showing.
My daughter loved this
Just needed a small digital watch for wearing on days off, or when I’m out hiking or swimming. It’s just a basic watch, nothing fancy, but it’s inexpensive and I have no complaints or issues with the quality. Holds up well in the shower and swimming pool.
Looks nice and at my age, I need a handy thing to let me know "What day is it today, and what's the date?" So far, this is my only annoying sign of advancing age. Annoying not just for myself, but to my friends and relatives.
