Built in the USA with a dedication to quality that goes back to 1932, the Bull Run is a utilitarian work boot with a timeless design that stays in style when you punch out. The full-grain leather upper is the perfect blend of strong and soft. Combine that with the sturdy Danner Wedge outsole and you get all-day comfort that lasts.

Selecting just the right leather is the most important aspect of creating an unlined work boot. It must be strong and it must be soft. Through seven different tests, we graded leather hides in strength, density, and pull. We watched how the leather would conform to the foot with age, and we ensured that it was strong enough to stand up to work environments for years to come.

On the outside, the Bull Run emulates a classic work boot, one that you’d pull out of your grandpa’s closet in hopes that it fits. With the Bull Run, we took that classic design and updated it with modern comfort. We re-engineered the fit to flow with the anatomy of the foot and to allow room for a soft and sturdy footbed, creating a fit focused on both comfort and long lasting support.

Craftsmanship is found in the details that are unseen, like shaving down panels of leather prior to stitching and working the creases of the upper to create a more secure fit. These are the standards that were set in 1932 when the first Danner boot was made, and these are the same standards that ensure the USA-made Bull Run is a work boot that is built to last.

The look of these boots are like none other. Theyre not manly or bulky and I love the thick stitching on them. Theyre super comfortable and didn't take long at all to break in like doc martens which is what I didnt like about docs. They felt like they were already broken in. I work at GM and I didnt need to get different I soles for them, what they came with was perfect. Im on my feet qt least 8 hours a day 7 days a week and my feet thank my for these boots. I wear a size 10 and im tall and skinny. I have skinny ankles and don't wear thick socks with these because my toes will start to hurt, but because I have skinny ankles I dont use the top two rows of teeth on the boots. I wrap the shoestrings around once and then tie my knot. Theyre alot more comfortable that way for me as well. As far as the non slip when it comes to oil, I work in hydraulic oil floors and they are definitely slippery walking on that. I wish they were more grippy to the floor like sketchers. They are NOT waterproof by any means if youre wondering about that. I walked through grass in the morning for a minute and my feet were soaked. They fit perfectly and I highly recommend these.

I’ve worn Danners for YEARS as a LEO, and as a hunter/farmer in my off time...and my 2 pairs have been bizarrely comfortable for over 20 years (I did resole them each once with great success and got so many more comfortable years out of them...) I’m now full time farming but wanted a comfortable work boot...these fit out of the box AMAZING!!!! These are thinner leather than the lined ones I have for old job and my hunting pair...but will hopefully breathe better (I was wearing winter insulated boots even in summer because I was frugal) my only complaint is that the women’s sizes don’t come in black like the men’s do...but that’s usually the case with women’s work boots...I love they are USA made, and my coworkers thought they were a local custom made boot company (Whites) that are 2-3x the price)

I work on a farm and this boot is surviving to the rigors of constant rain, dirt and walking all day long. The white rubber quickly went to being stained, but I expected that to happen. The boots were snug the first week of work, but after that they settled and loosened nicely. The only trouble I have is with the left boot, on the inside where the tongue folds, it leather bunches a little too much under there and pinches the top of my foot.

True to size. I wear an 11 with a narrow foot. These boots are comfy right out of the box!! Perfect fit! Danders are my go to for all boots and shoes!! They never disappoint !!

I reall do love these boots. I ordered a half size smaller than usual, which was perfect. They're great quality, but they just don't fit my narrow feet right. I still recommend them, they're great boots.

I’ve had these boots for about 5 months, use for construction.... but I’ve got to say that they don’t hold up well!
They are super comfortable though.

Poor quality control, the left shoe was perfect the right was not so great. The right shoe was very stiff leather, narrow, and different shade of brown. The tongue on the right was so narrow I could not get it to cover the inside so I had a gap and could see my socks. For $180.00 I was not impressed with the quality.

This is my second pair of these. I love them. Takes a little to break in but not much. One thing though is, they are not waterproof, so keep that in mind. I dont walk as much as I used to so I am not sure how they are if you are walking miles a day, but for a half day of walking and half in a truck and office they are great!
