The boot worn by the world's leading public safety personnel, the 5. 11 A. T. A. C. , just got promoted. It's lighter and more comfortable, yet maintains its reputation for toughness and durability. A new air flow tongue and full-length dual durometer Ortholite footbed work to keep your feet cool, dry and comfortable all day, every day. Another new feature, the Achilles heel flex zone, gives a critical part of your foot more range of motion without compromising support. The full-grain leather toe, 840D nylon upper and shock mitigation system provide the kind of rugged protection you need; while the knife pocket keeps an important ally within reach.
Holy cow, I gotta tell you how much I love these boots! First of all, as an awesome lady, it's hard to find boots like these for women that fit! They fit exactly as I ordered (and I do alot of ordering around), and they make me feel like God himself has His hands wrapped around my feet. They seriously fit me that well! Plus, and you bet your sweet patooty there's a plus, they're really lightweight! You certainly don't feel like you've wronged the Mafia and now have cement boots! It's like walking on a fluffy cloud with your pet unicorn (and by unicorn, I really mean your gun). So I seriously hope these last awhile because I really do love them! I added an awesome picture of myself with these on so you can really see how much I love them, enjoy!
First off, this is not my first rodeo. I previously owned a pair of Bates (size 7) and Magnums (size 7). The Bates lasted about 5 years before falling apart. The Magnums zipper broke in less than 2 years. I do shift work, standing, walking, running, in my boots. I tried these on with my thinnest pair of compression socks and my toes felt suffocated. While they appeared to have space in front of my toes, the cut of the boot pushed your foots forward (like high heels do), and compresses your toes all day long. I dont have large or small feet. I fit a 6.5/7 in womens, and bought a 7.5 due to reviews of them being small, and they still hurt. I dont think wearing them in would help much, but I am not going to try. Just returning them as I've never had this issue, even from brand new boots right out of the box worn to my academy. Also, they just didn't have good support. They look nice though, from the outside.
Honestly I was surprised when I lifted up the box, these boots are so light! I work as a Corrections Officer and I am on my feet for most of my 8-16 hour shifts so these were a great investment.
I am an EMT student. I bought this brand of boots because they were recommended. These boots are extremely light while still providing ankle support. They are very comfortable. I usually wear a size 5 in juniors (i'm a a female with very small feet). I bought these in a 6.5 because people were saying they run narrow/tight in the reviews. They fit me perfectly with a little extra toe space, which is nice. I feel comfortable wearing these to class and during skills practice and will be taking these with me when i do my rotation (:
I wear a 7.5 in a women’s shoe and it was just a bit tight in the toe box. I ended up ordering the same boot in a mens 6.5 and it was PERFECT. I have been a firefighter for 23 years - love the boot but I just need to stick to the mens sizes - they tend to run a tad wider which is perfect for me.
I normally love my 5.11 boots. They are the only brand I have purchased in my 10 year EMS career and they had never failed me until now. I will not purchase this style again. I work 12-16hr shifts on a busy metro EMS service. My feet hurt within half way through my shift. I purchased some dr scholl's for added cushion and it still isnt doing the trick. The boots are very thin and flimsy.
so these boots are very comfy, I wear them for 9 plus hours a day, working as a mechanic, however, this is my third pair and they have changed them ever so slightly, but enough that I noticed and wasn't happy about. I love the fact that they zip up and I don't go through laces at all, cause they usually always stayed tied and don't untie on their own, however, the little leather tab that goes over the top of the zipper, when you zip them up, is now smaller than it used to be and is almost worthless putting it on, cause it barely covers the Velcro and the tab on the front of the boots that the laces go through is lower, so the tongue on the boots, tend to slide to the right, instead of staying put in the center. Wish they hadn't changed that, but overall they are great boots that last me a very, very long time and break in easily and are light weight and waterproof.
I purchased these boots to be used for hiking. I wanted a boot that was both athletically pleasing to me and utilitarian, I wanted a slim design that would bot be bulky and wanted to be made out of sturdy material that is going to last. I was surprised to find them very comfortable and have everything on my checklist or wants and needs met.
She truly enjoys her booths.
Perfect boot!! Super comfy and snug!! My husband and I have matching boots! He uses them for his 12h shifts at the hospital! I just love how comfortable they are!
