These are one of the very few Doc Martens that don't make you suffer. The "breaking in period" most have is not cool. I don't believe in suffering for looks. These don't torture you. Comfy inside and comfy outside. Docs aren't anything close to slipper comfort, these included, but the they look good and aren't evil on your feet.

These are kind of heavy than I expected but go with most any outfit, dressed up or dressed down. I wear them everyday!

I bought these as a gift for my daughter. She stands for up to 10 hours at a time and the floor gets very wet and slippery where she works. She has been wearing them now for 2 weeks, and she loves them. She and I have worn Doc Marten shoes for years, but this is her first pair of Docs with slip-resistant soles. She finds that they do help a lot with slipping, much more than her other Mary Jane style docs and her 1461s. She wears a UK4 (US Woman size 6) in Doc Martens and these were consistent with the sizing of her other Docs. They look so cute on her.
