Lose the pumps and throw on these stylish yet comfortable Sidekick foldable flats. Accessorize the clutch with your outfit or easily fit it in your purse for the night.
These are "comfy" shoes...not meant to be used on uneven terrain (yes, you'll feel bumps through the soles). They have respectable styling with the convenience of a fold-and-stow carrying case. For those of us who tend to carry water on our ankles, this is a nice back-up to have when our regular shoes get a little tight. Those of us who also have an occasional back problem, changing the heel height usually brings immediate relief...so if you're in 2" or 3" heels, dropping down to a flat for a half hour of more, may help to relieve your pain...it does mine. (Yes, the opposite is also true - if you're in flats, changing to a 2" or 3" shoe would also provide relief. This works because the change in shoe height allows the body to shift weight-load-points, distributing weight-pressure differently.)
My second pair of sidekicks! I don't have a wide foot & I am usually a 7.5 in shoes, sometimes 8. I ordered an M size. They fit perfectly snug. They are ballet flats so the pointiness at the tip does crunch my toes as expected (Not in a bad way). The cheetah print doesn't look cheesy. From far it slightly looks furry in a cute way. Super soft and comfy! I'm using them for Vegas to hide in my purse after my feet can't handle my heels. They also aren't stiff but the bottom sole has a thin grip, enough to feel like you aren't feeling the pavement, but thin enough to feel a small rock.
Great as slippers or to wear on cool days or in place of wearing heels when your feet hurt. The material is very warm and sweaty and if you are standing/walking on hot pavement the heat goes right through and OUCH! My second gripe is the back of the heal gathering can be scratchy and tight and bite in to your skin. I have to wear it with blister protector band aids in the back. I would have paid at least $20 if they at least could breath, protected the sole better (if Tieks can do it with leather for $165 a pop, they could do it) to protect from the ground temp and not make the back gathering at the heal so scratchy. Come to think most makers of any kind of ballet flat miss the boat with this. I mean, yes, you want the gathering so the shoes stay on your feet but for goodness sake, put something soft on the other side so it does not dig into your skin.
I haven't worn them out yet but I'll be sure to update when I do. I bought these slippers with the mindset that they probably won't last long but we will see. I bought them to wear after a long night of dancing in heels when my feet start to hurt.
It is possible that these shoes would fit as expected and be comfortable, but the company didn't bother to mail me the size I ordered nor did they give me the option to exchange the shoes for my correct, ordered size. The shoes looked cute, but the company failed to meet standards.
I read the reviews and knew to order a larger size. I am a 9 1/2 but ordered the extra large and it fit perfectly. I already own a similar pair in a leopard pattern and it saved me from certain agony on a number of occasions. I've learned to take these to dressy "high-heeled, skimpy shoe events". They've come in handy when the walk to and from the car was farther than accepted or a dancing opportunity arose. ;-) They fold into a pouch small enough to fit into most dressy purses.
I love Sidekicks. They are better than slippers because they fit the foot perfectly (I have wide Fred Flintstone feet, and they feel good and make my foot look dainty.) I wouldn't use them for a long-term event that involves walking outside because the sole is not thick enough, but they are good for indoor comfort and cuteness.
Very cute shoes, comfortable. However... the material on the outside of the toe was messed up on one shoe. Feels like thin foil that could rip or tear off any moment. But the other shoe was completely glued down and firm. As far as fit and comfort A+.
Very well made
