I wear a 7 1/2 size shoe. These were a bit tight, so I measured them against my other shoes and they were clearly a half size smaller, making the true size more like a 7.

So I had to return them and reorder the '8', even though I'm not an 8.

This seems to happen more and more and I don't understand why, as I thought that numbers and measurements, unlike language, are universally the same.

Other than this frustrating as it is, Amazon customer service is very good and this problem was quickly taken care of.

Oh, except for the fact that even though we pay for 2 day Prime membership, I have to wait 5 days for my reorder.

What's up with that?

I got these for work. I needed all black shoes that had a shinable surface. These fit the bill for a reasonable price but they also ended up being very comfortable for spending all day on my feet. I'll definitely be repurchasing when I need a replacement pair.

Update: almost exactly at the 6 month mark I had to buy a replacement pair. Mine were on the verge of falling apart. But given that they were great through my busiest time if year (speading 12-14 hours a day on my feet 6 days a week) and that they're only 30 bucks for 6 months of wear, I'm very pleased. I am knocking them one star just because of how severely the insole wore down on my heel. I've never had that happen before. There was literally a hole on the heel portion of the insole on both feet all the way down to the rubber sole. It's not a deal beeaker for me but I do think I'll invest in a separate insole for my new pair. Over all, I'm happy for the ammount of wear I got for my money.

I have purchased Keds for several years now. I purchased these to replace a different pair of black leather Keds that have seen better days. The ones I'm replacing are a different style that has been discontinued. I purchased the 9M which is what I have always bought. These are a little too short. All the other Keds I own (that fit fine) were made in China, these were made in Vietnam. Don't know if it is just the style or if a different method of sizing is used between the countries. They are made very well and would recommend buying them a 1/2 size larger. I'll be returning them and reordering them i a 9 1/2M.

Or do they look a but off to you? DO NOT GET ME WRONG THESE ARE SO COMFORTABLE AND THEY FIT PERFECTLY. It's just that they just look.. off..... like if the end of the shoe doesn't really align with the center of the shoe designs. You can clearly see this on the right shoe. It bothers me a lot and I could clearly tell they when I first took them out of the box. Anyways, I still love them. Cute shoes, maybe I'm just crazy. Nevertheless, I am wearing these every single day. They are like tiny mattresses on my feet. Very orthopedic, and just what I needed for my arc support..

I was disappointed in fit. I always have worn a 7 1/2 M in Keds. However, when I received the shoes in 7 1/2 M, they were too short and too narrow, not comfortable. Therefore, I would recommend getting a half size larger. Sorry

Adorable, low-profile, comfy sneakers. Bought them for a trip to DC, but thinking they may need an insole for more support. Fit true to size. I’m a size 7.5 and the 7.5 fit perfectly, with a little room even. I’m glad I didn’t size up like other reviews suggested.

The leather version--perhaps because it is leather--is a bit tighter fit than the canvas version. I'm hoping it will stretch out and become as comfortable as the canvas version.

I have several pair of canvas Keds, but I needed all leather shoes to wear for a job in a Dr office. I got the all black version. They were so tight on my toes that my big toe hurt from wearing them. After a few days they stretched out and were more comfortable but now there is a little raised area in the leather where my toe goes, even when the shoe is off. Aside from that they fit fine and are comfortable enough, even when standing. I didn't like walking in them, though. They seem like the bottoms don't really bend well with my foot. When I walk down the hallway it's very loud "clop, clop, clop" sort of like flip flops. I hated listening to them so I stopped wearing them. They seem to be well built and they are exactly like the photo, so I can't really mark them down much.

Ordered 7 and I’m a 7.5 it’s dooable my toes are not squished and it’s comfy to walk , I kind of have narrow feet since pregnant so I had to loosen the laces quite a bit but it’s still a snug fit . I wore those thin stocking insert socks cause with a regular sock couldn’t even get it on. I think it’s snug because it’s leather hopefully it stretches . I use it just for work now on Friday casual wear day, everyone complimented them today , from a stranger who said their pretty and another asking where I got it and another asking how I keep it so white lol I just got it yesterday ! Would recommend!

I have rather narrow feet and these shoes are a great fit for anyone in that category. Many shoes my 'size' are too wide--they can't be tightened up properly. I've often ended up getting slightly shorter shoes that are not comfortable if I'm on my feet for many hours. These are very comfortable. I hope you'll continue to make them!

These are SO comfortable!! I love KEDS.
