This pair of shoes disappointed me after my first 5 day hike. Yes the weather was wet but my shoes got soaked after just a few hours in the rain while my husband’s shoes stayed dried inside. Worst to come was that after just wearing them for about 3 months the glue got loose and the top started to come of the bottom on one shoes. I am still wearing them as I haven’t bought another pair to replace this one. Being just over 6 months old now my socks can’t stay dry after just waking on the grass for 5 minutes when passing through a park on a rainy day. I spent more than $100 on my shoes and now I have to buy another pair after just half a year. This quality is shocking. |
I am pretty much a true size 6 M. These press my toes and get uncomfortable fast. Had I gone a half size larger, they may not have fit in other places. I should have gone to a store and tried shoes on but because 9 out of 10 times I wear 6 M I figured I would be good to go and I had run out of time to get shoes for a trip. |
I really like these shoes for their comfort, support and durability. They are not overly heavy either. I walk my dog briskly every morning and these are great on the sidewalk in snow and some ice. I ordered a pair for my daughter also and she wears a brace on one leg. They seem to give her the best support she has had in a shoe. We have tried many good brands. And as a plus they were on sale. The soles are perfect for winter. The blue gray color we bought goes with just about everything. |
I love these hiking shoes. I actually use them as a walking shoe because of the amazing support they give and they keep my feet dry unlike sneakers. They took a day or so to get used to because off the arch support, but they are really perfect. Highly recommend getting them for everyday use, I take the dogs to the dog park and walk for 45 minutes. My feet feel wonderful. |
I bought these because I knew they would be comfortable (already own another version of Moab style), and I needed something waterproof for walking in light rain and on wet grass in the early morning. The shoes are as comfortable for walking as any I have owned, but I am a little skeptical as to how waterproof they are. I have no intention of using them in pouring rain, but with walking just on wet grass I am not totally convinced that they are fully waterproof. Also, they are a little bit hot for summer use. |
Merrell's are THE BEST!! However, I have to send these back and get a half size larger because they were just too short! All of my Merrell's are size 6 but with these a 6 won't work. Otherwise they are a great looking shoe and I can't wait to get my replacements!! |
light weight. Nice hiking shoe. Not at all water or rain proof. After a little rain my toes were rather damp. Otherwise good shoe |
Have loved Merrell for 4-5 years now. Great durable shoe. Insoles wear out before the actual shoe does. They put up with a lot, between work, gardening and all of my scouting activities these shoes are the best. |
