I love these. I live in Colorado and sometimes a hike doesn’t require hiking boots. These are perfect for those hikes. They are also great on rockier trails. I’m definitely satisfied with this purchase.

I didn't realize when purchasing that these were some sort of specialty shoe - the arch support goes all the way down almost to the end of the heel. This tilts the inner edge of your heels up and your foot is forced to tilt and bear your weight on the tilted outer edge of your heel. I don't know what this foot condition would be called, as I don't have it, but after just a few minutes of wearing around the house the outer edge of my heels were very bothered from this. And it's not fixable by removing the insole, the actual shoe base is molded this way and cannot be fixed with a replacement insole.

If you have this condition where you need the inner side of your heels tilted up, I very much would recommend this shoe in your usual size. I generally wear an 8.5 in sneakers and an 8 in all other shoes and these fit me perfectly in an 8.5. I loved everything else about the shoe - the grip is fantastic, the whole upper of the shoe is soft and has no hotspots, not too stiff, ample room in the toe box. If they had made these more of a generic base with flat heels and just allowed people to add/tilt their insoles to their liking this would be a lot more versatile and I would LOVE them. I like heel padding but not tilted heel padding! Unfortunately I had to return them. Hope this helps.

Merrell shoes are awesome. Wasnt sure about ordering online. Am very pleased. They fit my feel like a glove. So comfortable. I most like the toe room. Love the colors.

I RESEARCHED SO MANY BRANDS OF WALKING/RUNNING SHOES BEFORE DECIDING ON THESE. I WANTED A PAIR OF SHOES THAT FELT GOOD ON DIRT AND SLIGHTLY ROCKY TRAILS. THESE ARE PERFECT. I AM NOT A RUNNER BUT A FAST WALKER AND THESE ARE VERY COMFORTABLE ON ALL SURFACES. IT WAS A DIFFICULT DECISION TO MAKE ESPECIALLY SINCE I WASN'T TRYING THEM ON. BUT I FINALLY THOUGHT "WELL I'VE NEVER GONE WRONG WITH MERRILLS" AND I WAS RIGHT. I TAKE A SIZE 7 1/2 AND THESE FIT PERFECTLY. NOT TOO BIG OR SMALL BUT PERFECT.

These are very well made for hiking the Colorado Rockies. My hiking partner was skeptical of my choice because these hiking shoes look similar to tennis shoes. I have worn Keen in the past. This shoe is much more comfortable and lightweight with a solid grip sole.

Traction works well on the dry surface. On the wet mossy surface, wasn't that great. The back of the shoes where cover the heel are lower than my other trail running shoes. This can make my ankles move bigger range back and forth. However when I was running on the wet grass area, the water was splashing towards my ankles, too.
Great toe protection.

I have had Merrills women's sneakers before from retail stores ... and these were another Merrills disappointment for me this summer. Great fit, Great colors, but just not the construction and support I expected. I think I am going to have to stick to retail purchases for this brand.

These are my favorite hiking shoes. Super comfortable and fit great. Have done a variety of trail surfaces in them and they handle great.

En general, me han gustado mucho. Son ligeras y cómodas, fáciles de ajustar gracias a sus cordones elásticos y muy bonitas. ¿El problema? Resbalan una barbaridad, con lo cual son un peligro para rutas que tengan algo de piedra y humedad. El agarre es perfecto en seco, pero en cuanto hay algo de agua, son como patines, de ahí que les haya puesto tan sólo dos estrellas. Si las quieres para correr, hacer trail running o algo para lo que necesites un agarre fuerte, a menos que únicamente corras por tierra y/o hierba, no las recomiendo. En absoluto.

No se que poner porque cómo me han gustado tanto. El sistema de cordones estupendo.
