Yes you can own a pair.

Years ago, I owned a pair of knock offs in olive green. I loved them but after I had my first child, my calves were too big to wear them again. Fast forward 6 years later and I finally decided to risk it and get a real pair. I went with the adjustable back buckle, thinking if that didn’t work, maybe Huntress.

Key things for those who have never owned Hunter:
If you have big calves, get the adjustable back buckle or go for Huntess. The original side buckle style will be too tight.
If you’re on the short side (I’m 5’5), chances are the boot shaft will hit the back of your legs when you walk or bend down or climb in the car. This is a tad annoying.
Regular socks won’t cut it if you’re wearing them for more than an hour. You’ll start to feel the fold in the back buckled shaft rub your skin raw. Best wear boot socks.
If you have slightly wider feet, feet that may not be wide but certainly are not narrow, you’ll start to wonder why on earth the makers decided on such a tiny ankle opening. This makes them snug but not uncomfortable or too difficult to remove, though. Just not super easy to slide off either.

But you’ll love them. They are ridiculously cute with so many outfits and you’ll never have to worry about the weather on the way to work.

Side note: Navy is a really nice change—not pirate black but still on the muted side and goes with everything.

My first pair of Hunter boots! Got the matte black with the adjustable back. They are authentic and great quality. I was concerned about the size. I read all of the reviews. I am in-between an 8.5 and a 9. I have a wider foot and a high arch/ instep. I decided to go down to the 8. Based on other reviews, I was afraid the 9 would be too big, heavy, clunky or make my feet look big. The 8 fits with just a tiny bit of room in the toe, snug with thick socks. They are also snug across the top of my foot because of my high arch. I am keeping them because I’m going out of town this week but I think I may have preferred the 9. I would say if you are in between a half and a whole size like me, go up to the whole size to allow for thick socks and comfort. Hope this helps. These are beautiful and worth the price. Shipping was fast too.

Haven't taken them off since they arrived!! I was so skeptical that these boots would be comfortable. I wear a 6.5 and purchased a 6 and they fit great! The material is bendable and I don't feel like I'm wearing rain boots at all! Now I have to decide what color I'm getting next!!

I decided to order a size down based on the mixed reviews but I should've followed the chart this time. My specs: 17 inch calf (yep, measured just for you), I wear size 7 1/2 in Michael Kors Slip-on sneakers and G by Guess sneakers, and I wear size 8 in Jessica Simpson and Christian Siriano heels. I purchased the boots in a size US 7/EU 38/UK 5 in the matte black color. The boots are extremely difficult to take off if your legs/calves are as thick as mine, and after taking them off I had a minor sensation that I still had them on. Disclaimer: I did order a size down, fearful they ran large, so if I had the recommended size 8 I may not have these issues. Now, these rain boots are nothing short of spectacular from my initial observation. I've ordered and returned supposed wide-calf friendly rain boots by Joules and DKSUKO and they were fails compared to Hunter in overall fit. Even a size down, the Hunter boots fit comfortably with a thin sock on, and would be tolerable if I had to keep the size 7. The shaft, ankle and toe box fit perfectly snug without being stifling. FINALLY, a wide-calf boot that fits my thick calves!!! The style is flattering and ideal for a large calf, with room to spread about 2 to 3 more inches, if larger than 17inches. The matte black is beautiful and looks exactly as pictured. The boots feel sturdy but not clunky and have great bend in the ankle. This is an initial review so I can't speak on durability of the material, but we are in hurricane season here in South Florida till November so I'll get to test the material in the elements. I plan to order the size 8 and compare the fit to the 7. Pleasantly surprised!

Love these boots! Very comfortable and durable. I normally wear an 8 and bought a 7 in these. I can still wear them with socks, but my toe is at the end. I just didn’t want my foot sliding around.

I have searched for the perfect waterproof boots, and have not found any success, so I finally decided to settle on some rain boots. The Hunter brand boots are the only ones I liked this so far in appearance. My calves measure about 15 inches around, and the original ones that I tried on in the store ( nonadjustable) couldn't make it halfway up my calf. I was so excited to see that they sold an adjustable variety, so I decided to give them a try. I am between an 8.5 and a 9 in shoes, so I decided to try the 9 since I figured that an 8 would probably be too small, considering I would be wearing socks and pants. The 9 is perfect! They're a bit roomy, but very comfy with thick socks. Plus, rain boots that are too tight are miserable. These have quickly become my favorites, absolutely worth every penny. And I have tons of room in the calf, these would easily fit larger legs than mine.

I now know what all the fuss is about these boots! First, my calf size is about 16" and there is enough room for going to about 17.5" comfortably. Once you get that situated, you will have a fantastic boot. I wear them in the snow and/or low temps with a thick wool sock with no issues. With other winter boots I used to change when I got inside but because I'm in a casual work environment I've enjoyed wearing them all day. They quickly become a part of you.

I normally wear a 9.5 or 10 and the 9 fits perfectly. Normally I can't wear a 9 in most shoes, it would be too tight, but the 9 is perfect even with thick socks

This are my fifth pair and considering they have some heavy wear in the winter, I think they are great. I only have one gripe is that they eventually split at the ankle but that may be down to me having fat calves!

Very prompt delivery. Lovely color and great fit.

Love these boots! they are incredibly comfortable, easy to clean, fit as described and the adjustable back is great - you can wear them with any type of trousers or thick long socks in winter without a problem.

I really like my new wellies, they are great because they are adjustable, otherwise they would not fit!

They were to small trued to send back was quoted £50 if you want it tracked with no garentee there going to get them oh and £35 without tracking so guess I’m stuck with them disappointed
