Rockport has always been one step ahead of the times, believing the perfect shoe has not yet been invented. This positive dissatisfaction compels them to constantly improve upon their footwear. Founded in 1971, they were the first company to use advanced athletic technologies in casual shoes to achieve lightweight comfort, and the first company to engineer walking comfort in dress and casual shoes.
I purchased a pair of Rockport boots about 5 years ago in brown. I wear them often in the winter at least once a week. They still look like they did when I purchased them 5 years ago. This brand was an easy choice to pick knowing how well they hold up. I picked these black boots and am just as happy with the fit. They have a slight arch inside the boot for support. The zipper is placed low enough on the side that it makes it easy to take them off and put them on. The grip on the bottom seems to be provide good traction when walking. (I haven't walked in the rain or snow in them yet) Being real leather will defiantly help them hold up through the years. I advise anyone who buys them though to purchase a wax or cream to moisturize them with at the end of the season. It keeps them from getting that worn look to them as well as keeping the leather from cracking. Other than that they are no maintenance at all.
These are super comfortable boots, but the medallion on the side ripped off the first day I wore them!! I only wore them to work and have no idea how they snagged something, but it was very disappointing. I then super glued it so I could wear them on my trip to Paris. I wore these boots to walk all over the city for several days and my feet never hurt. Then the medallion snagged on the aisle as I was getting off the plane and ripped off again... sigh... I guess I will continue to re-glue the medallion every time it pops off! These boots are perfect in every way EXCEPT for the fact that this decorative piece can't stay on. I would remove it altogether, but it would then have exposed holes in the leather!
I am a size 14 in clothing and these boots "squeeeeeeze" my calves when zipping them up. No where on the boot does it have the mark for wide calf but the box does. I have worn them three days in a row with nylons. Hoping to stretch out the leather. When you cross your legs the metal decor at top is VERY uncomfortable.
Best best best! I am about 190-200-ish weight. I wear size 9 typically. I got the black, wide calf, 9.5 M size. They fit PERFECT. the leather looks nice, expensive and polished. I seen some reviews saying they looked bad? I dont get it, they are gorgeous!!!! Thank you!
true to size. I am about 247mm and size 8 fits well.enough room for thick socks. I 'm glad I didn't choose the wide calf. Leather is thin and soft. Nice!
These are NOT wide calf; otherwise, comfortable.
Tall and dressy. High quality leather.
Love these boots, get compliments on them all the time. Very comfy too.
