On the ground or in the saddle, these country equestrian boots offer comfort, style and protection from the elements.
I ride horses for a living. So heel height, sole grip, etc., are essential for my safety. That being said, trying to mix those elements in a boot one can actually hike on terrain in is a tricky endeavor.
Holy cow...these are so badass.
These boots did great on a seven day journey through iceland! I was warm, dry, and comfortable for five days of hard riding, and I didn't even break them in. They were comfortable to wear on my 9 hour flight back from the ride as well. they are warm, dry, functional, and honest look great. I had a french woman call them chic haha! The laces mixed with the zipper in the back make the fit perfect and they were easy to ride in for 7 hours straight. They weren't great for hiking for obvious reasons, but walks less than a couple miles are fine. The only, and I mean the only complaint is that my laces wore through from lacing which I feel should not happen for under twenty lacings. They come with spares, but the price point demands better.
Ariats fit the same everytime! Reliable as always. The boots came with a tall shoehorn, extra laces (stretchy laces were already laced on the boot), and tall boot stays (to keep them upright when not in use). The tread is aggressive enough to make me feel comfortable on slick surfaces, the boot is butter soft and will not require any break- in time, and it was easy to fit to my leg. There's a small pull tab around the ankle inside the boot to make putting them on easier (really helpful), and they're so customizable! I can wear leggings, jeans, or breeches and adjust as needed.
I searched long and hard for the right boots for my upcoming horseback/hiking adventure in Argentina. Everything about these boots was perfect... Great tread for hiking, awesome ankle support, insulated, waterproof... But alas, I finally got them and they are too tall for my legs. The foot fit great, very comfortable for the short time I wore them, but as I bend my knee to walk, the back of the boot digs into the back of my knee. If I was only purchasing these to ride in, they would likely be fine, as when my heal is down the boot does not contact my knee. I am 5'2" (157.5cm tall) and if these boots were 1" shorter they would be perfect... I am heartbroken.
These are beautiful boots that did not require a lot of break in time. While they are thinsulate lined, they are not terribly warm in frigid weather as I wore them to a Charlotte Dujardin Masterclass with temps. in the low 40s and even with decent socks, my toes were frozen. They also fit rather snug, so if you're of the mind to wear thick socks with them, I would go a half size larger. I returned mine and went up a half a size and have been very happy with the change. Also, the 2nd pair didn't have as strong an odor as the first. These are made in China, so do not smell like the nice leather they appear to be.
Love the boots! They are beautiful and really well made. I have a few pairs of ariat paddock boots at home and assumed the sizing would be the same? Nope! I ordered a 7.5 and they fit like an 8.5! It is too much to send them back so I'm just going to put insoles in
These are amazing. I love the way they look and fit. I have worn them at work when I’ve been on my feet all day, hiking trails in Alaska and of course riding my horse. I absolutely love the boot. They’re super comfortable, gorgeous and worth the money. I get a ton of compliments on them wherever I go.
Beautiful. By far my most expensive boots yet, but also my absolute favourites - just stunning. I get compliments on them whenever I wear them. Unfortunatly (and this is more my fault than anything else) I had origianlly bought them to horse ride in but the tread is too deep and they're just too heavy for that. Excellent for everyday wear, hiking, stable work, pretty much anything that's not horse riding. Fit as expected, no need to go up or down a size.
Lovely boots but side buckle to narrow on my leg
