30°C, wool blend lining
Over the years, PAJAR has developed and implemented techniques to improve their high quality boots. With the addition of a patented insulating mid-sole (Iso-Lana) made up of small air bubbles between layers of aluminum, felt, and wool, Pajar boots can withstand severe cold up to -74 degrees Celsius. All seams are tape-sealed and the adhesive construction further ensures the waterproof quality of the boots. PAJAR boots are produced in a wide range of styles, materials, and colours to keep up with fashion trends. They are advertised in consumer fashion magazines and have become a necessity for trendsetters.
**Update: I've suffered with these boots for three years now and feel responsible to update this previously four-star review. The boots are still warm and in great shape (although I don't think I stressed enough that they do NOT look like the picture - they are much wider/squat looking and not at all sleek or particularly fashionable). But they are SO SLIPPERY. They slip wildly on ice, rock, tile, any moisture on a flat surface, inside stores, even on wood floors when you step inside with wet or snowy boots. These are so dangerous! I am an athletic person who spends a lot of time training to balance, and that's probably the only reason I haven't had a serious fall. But I have to walk so carefully I look ridiculous just to avoid my boots slipping out from under me. Believe me when I say from experience that I slip less in stilettos on ice than I do in these boots. Do not waste your money. This level of failure is irresponsible from a Canadian company that supposedly knows winter conditions. I can only guess the positive reviews are from people who either don't live in freezing climates or don't go out in serious weather.**
These are great boots! They are so warm, and so far, seem totally waterproof. The heel is very comfortable - just enough to make the boot look a little nicer without having any effect on one's ability to walk. I am a 9, and I got the 9/9.5. It is a little bit roomy, not to the extent that rubbing becomes a problem, but just enough to fit some thick socks in if so desired. The front of the boot comes to just under my kneecap, which was the look I was going for. The faux fur on the top part of the inside is so soft and silky! And the wooly insulation that coats the rest goes all the way down into the toes. The non-leather part on the outside is some sort of waterproof cloth. I was wondering if it might look cheap, but it doesn't. The best part about that cloth is that it makes the upper part of the boot very soft and flexible. I have fairly bony ankles, and some boots might irritate them, but the ankles in this boot are made of that cloth material, so it's very comfortable. There is also plenty of room to stuff my pants in (though I am rather thin). There are no zippers, but the boots are loose enough not to need them. I rather like that feature - they're very easy for me to pull on.
High quality, good looking boots. Decent traction. No zippers is no problem because they are large enough for big calves and tucking in your pant leg. The size 10 is a bit roomier than I need, but they don't have a real half size available. The 9-91/2 is really a 9, IMHO.
Super cute I should of read details better I was thinking they had a zipper but hey they pull on kinda easy if thin socks other than that haven't wore them yet but was expecting wool lining too like the pair I had got before can't think what there called but I like em maybe rate how they wear ect later love these boots but I should of got a half size larger the keep my feet warm an toasty in snow an 20 degree weather is cold as it got since I had them really cute an warm toes
Black suede is true black. These are a narrow boot a size B for sure which is perfect for me. There is some arch support but I have high arches a added a half arch support. The calf is a bit big for my calf 13 1/2 but looks nice with slim ankle slacks. The faux fur inside is very soft fabric. It hasn't rained yet but I'm sure they are as described. I wish the back of the boot came up to the same height as the front. I'm 5'10" and they are below my knee.
I walk to and from work about 2 miles each way then wear them all day at work because I am too lazy to switch to heels. I get compliments on them. I only wish the back was as high as the front because it would provide a couple more inches of protection for your pants. This is my second pair of Pajar Winter Boots and I expect these to last a long time but would probably get another pair as a back up for heavy snow days so I can rotate them out to dry. Highly recommend.
You can’t find a better boot. I have been wearing Pajar boots for 15 years. I am a 9.5 and the size 40 was a snug fit and difficult to pull off but very very comfortable once they were in place. I would prefer a bit more room so I am going to give this boot to my daughter who is a size 9 and order larger for myself. She is a Pajar fan as well. For the price a spectacularly crafted boot.
These boots are incredibly warm! I was looking for something that I could wear for a 20 minute walk to work in the Chicago winter, and wanted something that was more professional looking than an Ugg or a Sorrell boot. These definitely fit the bill. I was very pleased. My only issue was that I got several major blisters on one foot after my first wearing (although they didn't hurt at all, they were obviously rubbing). I generally wear a size 8 and the 39 is a bit roomy, but I was concerned that the 38 would be too small. Given my climate, I wanted the option of wearing thick socks with the boots. I have taken to doing that every time I wear them and the problem is solved. Given the range in the sizes, if you are at the smaller end, you may want to size down.
Came on time and well packed.I have these boots in black as well .The colour of these boots are a nice grey and go with everything. They are a good fit true to size and keep your feet warm and dry.Easy to keep clean. They look dressy on ones feet .They are expensive due to import duty.
