First off let me say, I'm an EA by trade, so I don't do a lot of hard work. I never wear my rings when I clean or do dishes. So there's no reason for this ring to look like it does, especially after only having it for about a month. Also, I only wear my jewelry when I'm outside of the house and not always then either.

This gem looks clear with a hint of blue. The crystal is pretty, but the metal is really flimsy. When you 'drop' it, it makes a 'tin-y' sound rather than a 'solid' sound, and if you have 'real' jewelry rather than costume jewelry, and you've dropped them, you'll know what I mean.

The 3rd/4th images are a ring I bought from a retail jewelry store approx 6 yes ago. You'll notice the thickness of the two compared. The tickest one is a solid ring that has kept its shape.

The image of the four rings are all rings I bought on Amazon at the same time. Three have kept their shape but this one is completely misshapen. The image with this ring compared to the silver circle is too show how misshapen this ring is. I've had my Thumb ring for approx 10/11 years and it's never lost its shape or discolored.

PROS: Hasn't turned my finger colors. Hasn't tarnished. Gem is still in place. It's light weight. Can't tell it's misshapen when it's worn.

CONS: Is flimsy. Completely misshapen.

VALUE: I'd recommended it just because it's nice looking and I feel you get what you pay for. I wouldn't gift it as a birthday/ Christmas/ Valentine gift, but if you're giving just to give it's worth it.

This was a gift for my mother, and she adores it. It's a splendidly carved stone, and has brilliant color change. It ranges from a mauve-purple, or bluish-purple (incandescent light), to a blue-green or mint green (natural light), depending on the light. It's a very classy and unique setting, not too bold, but certainly not a small stone, at 0.89 carat. I have purchased 3 rings from Silvershake now, and all three of them have beautiful sparkling cuts, and bright clean silver settings.

Very pleased with this purchase of an Alexandrite ring . I had been shopping for one at our local mall & could not afford the price they were charging. .I got this ring for our daughter's 21st birthday. She loves it! It does change color from teal green to dark purple or pinkish. I bought a size 8 for her middle finger. It looks great! It sparkled so beautifully at the restaurant. Thank You!

the ring is beautiful, esp with the stones on each side of the main stone. it has a lot of sparkle . I like that its dainty and pretty. I have not noticed any color changes yet. the downside to this is the ring has 2 prongs that stick up and snag everything. I cant wear it at this time, I need to find a way to fix the prongs.

Gorgeous! I love alexandrite. I took pics in natural and artificial light and you can see the color change

Update: week later that gorgeous stone fell out
