Found what was voiced in most of the reviews, was correct. The smaller sized robe was the right size for our needs (my sweetheart is trim and 5' 7") Length-wise, it doesn't reach down quite as far as I would have liked (another few inches for her height would have been nice) but the fit around her body is very much to her liking. Guessing the larger size would have been too tenty. And while the robe felt heavy out of the box, she's very pleased with the way it feels when she has it on. She gets cold easily, and loves how warm it is right out of the shower. But then after, it doesn't feel too heavy to continue wearing it around the house for awhile.

Upon getting it, decided to heed some of the other comment suggestions, so I washed it in cold water with a very light amount of soap and fabric softener, then tumbled dry at the lowest heat. It took awhile to dry completely, but the process did remove the lint that came with, and left a robe that was much softer to the touch than what came out of the box. Then inspected the robe, snipping away the lose threads (there were 10 or so) some of the other comments warned of. No reason to let a small thread become a longer one.

With all said and done, my sweetheart now has a beautiful, lush, robe that she absolutely loves. Purchased at a price point that belies the quality and luxury of what I saw elsewhere. I do, however, strongly recommend you take the time to prepare it before wearing it. Bamboo adds a real depth and plushness to the feel of the fabric but it does require a little different attention than 100% cotton or one of the synthetic blends.

I purchased this robe strictly for logistical purposes as the new place I moved into had no towel bar near the shower. Instead of dripping puddles and freezing to death to grab a towel across the bathroom, I ordered this robe and installed a heavy duty suction cup hook on the glass shower door. I was very pleased with my new post-shower experience! This robe is a thirsty sucker, I slip it on immediately after my shower and a few minutes later I’m feeling pretty dry. I leave the cuffs unrolled to dry off my face and lower legs, and other important areas ;) I am a bath robe convert! I wish I did this earlier.

However, there is one downside to owning such a thirsty robe. My new place has a front loading washing machine, which I’ve never used before. It turns out that the load must be fully balanced before it can start the spin cycle, and it will try to re-balance it numerous times if unsuccessful. After tossing the robe in the wash for the first time, I came back to a sopping mess when the spin cycle failed. I didn’t understand what happened, so I reattempted the spin cycle only to have it fail 3 more times. I ended up having to hand-squeeze the robe out before placing it in the dryer for a couple of hours. I swear the robe felt like it had soaked up 5 pounds of water! Online advice suggests to wash heavy items with several other heavy items so that the machine can balance it out, perhaps adding several more bath towels would have done the trick. I will try it the next time, but in general maintenance of this robe is going to be a lot more work than I ever would have expected. Nevertheless, I don’t regret buying it.

I’m 5’3”, 120 pounds, and I’m swimming in size small/medium, however it still works perfectly for me like an oversized bath towel. It falls about 5 to 6 inches above my ankles.

UPDATE: My second laundering of this robe was a success! In addition to the robe I added two large bath towels, eight hand towels, and a few miscellaneous clothing items to the load. I came back when the load was done and everything was wrung out properly, so it was a spin cycle success! My final thoughts are that I still love this robe, but it has altered my laundry habits. I now have to plan on doing whites less frequently and in much larger loads. Practically all my white towels have to go in with this baby!

I normally wear a medium in clothing, but I got the small/medium size. It's a little large, but PERFECT for a robe. Sleeves are long but the roll nicely and look good rolled and stay put. The fabric is amazing, absorbent yet so soft and comfortable. Robe is flattering to a woman's curves, unlike many terry cloth robes I've had that made me feel like the pillsbury doughboy. This has shape but no way too tight. Loose and comfy. As flattering as a good functional robe can be! Much like robes you get in fine hotel rooms. I highly recommend you buy this! You will like! Fit is good, as expected, go with your regular size. If you are short (I'm 5'1") the robe will be close to just above your ankles, but I love that. I like the inside tie also for added modesty. And the tie is perfectly placed.

I started my robe search by buying one on Amazon for $29.95 and I quickly learned that a luxury robe could not be bought at that price. I quickly returned it. I bought this robe because so many people commented how soft it was and that was exactly what I wanted - a soft, comfortable robe that feels like a luxury hotel robe. I'm so happy with this robe because that's exactly how it feels and looks! Only downside is the sleeves run long. I am 5' 7" and have a S/M and the sleeves go all the way down to the tips of my fingers.

This robe is very big. I had ordered two - one for myself and one for a friend as a gift. I normally take a size large (10-12) and ordered the S/M for myself. The S/M was very big on me. I contacted the Seller and asked if the item would shrink when washed and they quite promptly and courteously responded that it really would not shrink that much at all but I was more than welcome to return it. I returned the L/XL which I had purchased as a gift for my friend and kept the medium for myself as I like the quality of the robe even though it is too big. It's very heavy and quite warm and I think it is well made and worth the money. I bought my friend a cashmere robe instead and she's quite happy with that needless to say. I would buy from this Seller again.
