I enjoyed that these were full shorts/underwear. Most of the ruffle underwear is so low on top that it doesn't usually reach your corset or costume top. The bottoms are longer too, actually covering my whole but and not showing my underwear underneath or leaving my bare butt visible.
The shorts are long on top but since they are cut square and don't take into account that most women have butts they are much longer in the front than in the back. They are just boarder line long enough in the back though thank god. Also the ruffles don't go all the way up the shorts and that was a bit disappointing. The ruffles did not end up covering my whole butt but since they at least fit other wise I was able to add extra lace myself to achieve the full coverage/look I needed. Which did however add an extra expense.
Overall I would recommend the product but I would advise the squareness and lack of lace coverage as far up as you'd expect.

It's no surprise why this company has been in business for nearly 100 yrs. These hand crafted ruffle bloomer shorts are the best I've seen and tried on. I love the soft nylon panties and high quality of nylon ruffles. The fabric is top notch with a good stretch and will last a very long time. I like them so much I got several pairs in diffrent colors and different styles. Wash and hold up very well. Wear them as shorts or as under pants.

I purchased these shorts as an addition to my upcoming Halloween costume - I plan to be a Jack the Ripper victim at the haunted house I work at, and am putting together a flashy burlesque-y ensemble to catch the eye and stand out. I found the XL to be a perfect fit for me, though I would prefer a lower rise, as I'm quite short in the hip, but rolling the waist over to give a lower rise should be easy enough. I have a 39" waist and 53" hips, and there is plenty of room in both for a larger person, so the sizing is comfy and generous. I have problems wearing elastic on my waist, as it usually causes uncomfortable pressure and back pain, but the elastic on these is thin enough that I don't have any problems. The lace ruffles are from the top of the hip bone down to the bottom, as shown in the picture, so your skirts will glide over the top part of the shorts easily, as they're satin in that area. The tag is actually on the outside, not the inside, so I was momentarily confused, though this may be a fluke on my pair. I will happily purchase other colors of these shorts in the future, should I need them, as the value for the price is outstanding. The seams are sound, and the fabric is sturdy. I don't have to worry about the lace itching, because it's on the outside and won't be touching my skin. I highly recommend these shorts if you're looking for a lacy, ruffled short.

I just received my pair of bloomers, and have worn them to work once. I read the reviews and decided to trust the seller's measurements instead of the Amazon measurements. I have 45" hips and a 33" waist. I got the medium and it fits fine. Snug but fine, no wedgie etc. This pair is a tad shorter than I'd wanted--rests just below the cheek I suppose, and I'd wanted mid thigh--but this isn't a problem to complain about, just be prepared. I wanted these for those days when you want a skirt but it's chilly. I am satisfied.

I needed something to go with a lacy top for a Leather & Lace party at a 21+ Renfair event. I absolutely love these. My only complaint is a personal preference, so I'm giving them a 5 star review and just putting the 'con' out there to warn others with sensory issues.

Pros:
- SUPER stretchy! I went for an XL because that's what I bought swim bottoms in this year, and I -might- have been able to get away with the L because of how much stretch these have.
- Cute! They definitely are adorable bloomers! I was worried they'd come all scrunched looking and the lace would be sticking out in odd ways, but the were nicely folded and looked fine on.
- They have a mesh gusset for airflow. Definitely a necessity, especially in the warmer seasons.

Cons
- Lace and inside of bloomers are itchy/scratchy. I hate rough/coarse fabrics and avoid them whenever possible. It's a sensory thing. The lace is really, really scratchy feeling. It's not soft at all, though keep in mind lace generally isn't. I could deal with this a little better if the inside was lined. While the lace isn't on the inside, the stitching and fabric still lead to a distracting sensory situation in the nether parts. Even a super thin lining of a software/sleeker material would be helpful here. Thankfully, I do have black boy short style undies, which will help mitigate some of the sensation. Definitely don't expect to wear only these if you have are particular about fabrics.

very cute, comfortable and well made. However, when worn under any of my dresses they make my butt look lumpy from the ruffles. Would work best for a ruffled or layered dress, or one that has a petticoat under it. Not for regular sundresses or skater skirts that hang close to the skin.

I chose these bottoms because they were made in the USA, which results in a higher price point. You do get what you pay for with these. The nylon has stretch and so the size medium on a size 10 body lays smooth around the high waist and doesn't bag. The ruffle material, on the bottom, has enough body so that they have texture and don't lay limp, which works as I'm pairing them with a sleek corset top. I would give them five stars except, I ordered the light pink and the photo doesn't represent the actual color even closely, it is more peach than pink. If I had known that, I would have ordered the berry so I had a pink color as I needed.

It definitely goes up high, I folded the waist down, but you can tell from the picture that its high waisted. It fit just fine and did what I wanted it to do. Cute red ruffles and no problems with wedgies or anything. It was comfortable.

Normally like thigh length but this is ideal with shorter skirt
